We offer one-to-one Personal therapy sessions to young people aged 11-25

What to expect

Our holistic and creative approach combines counselling and psychotherapy theories with youth work principles. This forms the basis of our integrated youth centred therapy practice.

We believe that young people are active participants in their therapy journey and our main goal throughout the process is to build a safe space, based on trust, where together we can achieve change.

Inside the therapy room, we encourage you to lead the sessions depending on how you feel and what you need in that moment; We will always hold space for you to feel seen and heard in whichever way you need.

FAQs

  • Therapy involves talking about thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sessions can look different for everyone as we are all unique.

After a referral form* has been sent to us you can expect an initial consultation. This is a 'get to know you' session where together we can explore if therapy at Wired is a suitable match. If so, we will complete a contract. This is an agreement where we'll decide a time, day and location. We tend to work in blocks of six sessions and review how things are going.

*Please note submitting a referral does not guarantee an initial consultation. The referral process may show a different form of therapeutic support would be more appropriate. We will try our best to signpost further where possible.

  • Our cosy therapy space is nestled in the heart of Ashley Cross, Poole BH140JD.

    We also offer online therapy.

  • We offer sessions of up to 50 minutes. For some clients the whole 50 minutes can be too long so we offer shorter sessions of 30 minutes.

The sessions are offered on a weekly or fortnightly basis. This is explored during the initial consultation.

  • Our Therapists are professionally qualified and abide by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework and Wired Therapy’s safeguarding policies and procedures. They are fully insured, hold an up to date Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate and regularly attend continual professional development opportunities and clinical supervision.
