Liz Edge is the founder and director of WIRED. She is currently the primary lead of delivering services with a team of consultants behind the scenes. These consultants include; counsellors (BACP accredited), educational practitioner, youth and community workers (JNC accredited), web designer, accountants, and young people themselves.

After seeing first-hand the lack of credible support to which young people have access, Liz launched WIRED in 2018 with the hope of building a strong foundation to effectively support vulnerable young people for years to come.

Liz is a professionally qualified youth worker and trainee counsellor/psychotherapist. She blends her knowledge and expertise of these two realms into the work of WIRED. Her empathic and authentic nature provides a strong foundation to connect with others.

In the past, Liz has worked for local and national organisations focusing on emotional wellbeing and Relationship and Sex Education. She delivered a wide range of pastoral and youth support, as well as facilitating training workshops and running her own freelance practice.

Liz decided to streamline her practice through launching WIRED to deliver focused, intentional support for young people’s mental health and general wellbeing.

WIRED was named by Liz after her experience of feeling ‘wired’ during mental distress and the ongoing rewiring taking place in our brains during adolescents.
